Job Hunting Continues

For a while now I have been flirting with the idea of business ownership. You know what can happen when you flirt! (Try 20 years of marriage and four beautiful children!) As it turns out somewhere along the line I got serious and started to pursue this option.

When I sensed an impending change in my old job, I started shopping the BIZMLS and saw some interesting possibilities. I fired off quick emails to 10 various companies that were for sale to see what might happen. My selection criteria must have been pretty good. 7 of the 10 companies were already under contract.

One company that had rejected a recent offer and was back on the market. I requested the business info packet--was intrigued by what I saw, so I set up a meeting with the owners.

After hours of analysis, research, negotiations, due diligence I am hopeful that something can be worked out. We are close in our negotiations. I'll keep you posted.

Jeff,

I just saw a link to your blog on Eric Asp's blog. It was good to read your blog and catch up a bit. I noticed you were in a period of transition in your last blog. I will be praying for you man.

I am considering a trip to Orlando during the GCM ELG deal. If I make the trip, I would love to get together with you somewhere in town and just hear what the Lord has been doing in your life lately--to just catch up a bit.

I would also love to hear what comes to pass with the potential new business venture.
